**The role you’ll contribute:**
**The Business Analyst (III) serves as a liaison between Sourcing, Pharmacy, Ancillary, and Operational service lines supporting a variety of quality and performance measurement initiatives throughout the organization through participation in development and maintenance of tasks, reports, scorecards and dashboard tools. These initiatives include but are not limited to tracking Supply and Purchased Services spend, depicting and providing spend and usage information, and benchmarking pricing against external peers. The Business Analyst (III) analyzes complex qualitative and quantitative purchase order data, AP data, clinical data, financial and administrative data from multiple sources, and synthesizes results into meaningful deliverables, reports and presentations on a regular basis. The Business Analyst (III) develops and maintains a robust, working knowledge of many product initiatives. The Business Analyst (III) is the subject matter expert of the key product and service line initiatives and demonstrates thorough understanding of the short-term and long-term direction of the contracts and operations impact. The Business Analyst (III) serves as a resource and role model for other business analysts and trains business analysts and end-users on core analytic and reporting systems. The Business Analyst (III) is expected to actively demonstrate outstanding customer service and maintain relationships that are equally respectful to all.**

+ **Work independently or lead a team in the preparation of financial and/or operational analyses that effectively communicate trends and insights needed to support strategic decisions.**
+ **Manages complex datasets by identifying, aggregating, cleaning and validating data from multiple sources in preparation for reporting use.**
+ **Uses analytical techniques to design, develop, and maintain reports, scorecards, and dashboards that provide insight to the organization.**
+ **Interacts frequently with leadership within and external to the Pharmacy Business Services team to facilitate discussions of existing data products while assessing unmet analytic needs and potential task template enhancements.**
+ **Supports continuous improvement activities by gathering and analyzing data related to current processes and identifying needed system modifications and process changes**
+ **Supports system-wide quality deliverables through collaboration with multi-disciplinary audiences, from executives to front line staff.**
+ **Develops subject matter expertise around pharmacy operations and their relation to savings and quality patient care.**
+ **Manages assigned projects by prioritizing work to meet established deadlines and overall time budget, ensuring that objectives are accomplished while keeping management informed of project status and issues identified.**
+ **Serves as the team content expert on measurement/analysis methods and provides solid recommendations to senior leaders and quality staff; continually expands and updates this knowledge.**
Qualifications
**The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed** **:**
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** **:**
+ Bachelor's degree with six (6) or more years of relevant experience, preferably in a related field such as: business, health care, engineering, information systems, or mathematics discipline
OR
+ Master's degree with three (3) or more years of relevant experience, preferably in a related field such as: business, health care, engineering, information systems, or mathematics discipline
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:**
+ **Experience with Epic EHR, particularly reporting tools and the pharmacy application**
+ **Knowledgeable in contemporary hospital/clinical practice and service, general hospital operations and regulatory compliance**
+ **Knowledge and application of statistical analyses including financial variance and statistical significance**
