Department Details

Fast pasted, strong, supportive team that supports 3rd party systems used in Radiology, Cardiology and Radiation Oncology across the Sanford footprint. This team has many skill sets and vast knowledge to support applications from back end configurations to front end, users workflows and functionalities.
Team is very supportive and always willing to help one another, collaborating often on difficult cases or large asks.

Summary

Gather, analyze, design, develop, modify, test, implement, evaluate, and maintain clinical information technologies to support clinical practice. Use data to support clinical decision-making and identify desired outcomes.

Job Description

Able to research, analyze and make recommendations for application work flow improvements and create and analyze reports created using multiple reporting mechanisms. Utilize Tier Two/high level of customer service while promoting and participating in the team approach.

Monitors system health, usage, compliance, administration and maintenance of production, test and development application platforms. Configures and manages application system software release levels while working with application vendors for configuration, enhancement requests and support
escalations. Builds requested items and tasks using workflows and other tools to manage processes. Develops systems integrations and process automation. Creates process documentation for team and provides internal training to team members.

Possess strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent time management and prioritization skills. Training presentation techniques and skills. Proficient verbal and written communication skills and efficient use of Microsoft Office software. A positive attitude and superior customer service skills.

Skill level needed to become proficient in Sanford assigned applications as well as a basic knowledge of other Sanford applications. Demonstrate basic knowledge and support of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) philosophies in daily work. Skillful in adapting to change. Adjusts to new or changing assignments, processes, and people. Identifies and considers alternative approaches to situations or problems. A willingness to maintain active knowledge in area of specialty in order to maintain current clinical practice and end user perspectives.

Qualifications

Minimum of an Associates Degree in a clinical field or at least three years of clinical experience in their specialty preferred.

Previous experience in Information Technology is preferred.

Depending upon location, be licensed/registered/certified in a clinical field within Sanford’s footprint. Information Technology (IT) certification should be obtained within six months of date of hire. IT certification must be completed within three attempts of certification testing. Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) application certification and truth should be obtained within six months of hire date. Renewal guidelines per discipline.
