Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor - Comprehensive Otolaryngology
Job Description:The University of Florida, Department of Otolaryngology is seeking applicants who wish to pursue an academic career in comprehensive otolaryngology at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor. The Candidate will hold a University of Florida appointment and become part of our current group of 15 full time faculty to support the expansion of clinical services in our community. The candidate will provide outpatient services as well as inpatient services to patients admitted to the Otolaryngology attending service on a rotational basis with other faculty members. The candidate will also be responsible for teaching residents, fellows and medical students assigned to the inpatient and outpatient services. The desired candidate should possess a strong commitment to both clinical practice as well as resident teaching.
For those candidates with a keen interest in pursuing research as part of their academic career, the UF College of Medicine is a superb location to practice as it offers excellent intramural funding opportunities in addition to traditional government funding mechanisms. In 2022, NIH funding at the UF College of Medicine exceeded $300M. Protected time for research is available for qualified candidates who receive research funding. Mentorship from experienced faculty members will be provided for candidates without prior independent research experience and/or funding.
Expected Salary:Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with qualifications.
Minimum Requirements:Applicant must be board certified or board eligible, and licensed (or eligible) to practice in Florida.
Preferred Qualifications:Strong interest in clinical care, teaching and research.
