Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor Faculty – Adult Outpatient
Job Description:The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida (UF), College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida is seeking an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in adult psychiatric outpatient and consultation-liaison practice. The position is a full-time (1.0 FTE), non-tenured multi-mission track faculty position working in the Adult Outpatient Clinic and attending on the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Service at UF Health Shands Hospital. The position is expected to address clinical and teaching needs as well as opportunity for scholarly activity. The position can include opportunities in outpatient consultation to primary and specialty medical care providers.
In addition, faculty in the Department of Psychiatry are engaged in UF and national collaborations that afford rich opportunities for career development. The Departments of Psychiatry and Division of Adult Psychiatry offer extensive opportunities for clinical research/ scholarly collaborations. There is also opportunity for program development involving inpatient treatment and outpatient services and consultation. As a faculty member in the College of Medicine, the candidate will also contribute to its educational mission by participating in graduate and/or medical education, particularly the teaching of fellows, general psychiatry residents, and medical students during rotations and seminar teaching. Finally, the successful candidate must be willing to engage in service at the level of the department, college, and larger profession.
The successful applicant for this position will report to the Division of Adult Psychiatry.

Expected Salary:Commensurate with training and experience
Minimum Requirements: Applicants must have a M.D. or D.O. degree and be licensed in or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida and be board certified/board eligible in Psychiatry Preferred Qualifications: • Strong candidates will be motivated physicians with a desire for a career in adult psychiatry within an academic setting• Possess prior clinical experience in a teaching institution or service
• Completed residency in psychiatry
• Completed a fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Strong written communications skills
