The University of South Carolina ( USC ) Arnold School of Public Health seeks applicants for Clinical (Instructional) Assistant or Associate Professor positions focused on teaching and mentoring graduate students in our Master of Public Health ( MPH ) degree programs (epidemiology; health promotion, education, and behavior; health services policy and management; and physical activity and public health). This position is located in the Department of Health, Promotion, Education, and Behavior. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in a public health discipline or closely related field by the start date of employment, experience teaching and mentoring in a higher education setting, and a history of working in public health practice.
This full-time, 9-month faculty position is being established at the departmental level to support teaching and student mentoring in our MPH programs. Those programs include a 16-credit hour integrated core curriculum that features interdisciplinary instruction. In addition to teaching and mentoring in the MPH programs, successful candidates will be expected to continue engaging in public health practice to maintain professional connections and relevant community experience.
