Clinical Assistant - Physical Therapy **Medical Associates** 1 Positions ID: oJ2ivfwi Posted On 01/21/2025 **Job Overview** **Description** Medical Associates Physical and Occupational Therapy department is hiring a **full-time Clinical Assistant** to support the department with management of chart preparation, insurance tracking, and patient scheduling. This position will require a high attention to detail while working at a fast pace on the computer, phone, and with our patients. Ideal candidates have some experience with office administrative duties and are known for always providing above and beyond patient/customer service with a smile. **Primary schedule:** Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:30am and 4:30pm, working 40 hours per week. Process referrals and Message Center inquires in a timely manner. + Complete reminder calls and instruct patients regarding the procedure and any preparation necessary. Follow up on patients that have no showed or cancelled their appointments and keep communication with appropriate staff. + Assist with record collection and chart preparation. Connect with outside facilities if update records and/or clinic specific documentation needs to be collected prior to appointment(s). Distribute faxes, mail, and filing of clinic specific documents + Monitor patient tracking reports and take appropriate action related to patient needs with direction from clinical staff and providers + Ensure treatment, exam and procedures rooms are cleaned between patients and adequately stocked with supplies throughout the day. Place orders as needed + Complete all other assigned project and duties Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: _Education:_ High school diploma or GED required. _Experience:_ From three months to one year of similar or related experience. **Physical Aspects:** Stooping - Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Kneeling - Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. Crouching - Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine. Reaching - Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Standing - Particularly for sustained periods of time. Walking - Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances. Pushing - Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward. Pulling - Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Lifting - Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles. Fingering - Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling. Grasping - Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. Feeling - Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips. Talking - Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly. Hearing - Perceiving the nature of sound with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts. Vision - 20 / 40 or better in the best eye with or without correction Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds force constantly to move objects.
