The University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) is one of the leading dental schools in the United States devoted to improving and promoting oral health throughout Florida, the nation and worldwide through excellence in teaching, research, patient care and service. CDBS has an extensive community outreach program, including two research centers (https://dental.ufl.edu/departments/communitydentistryandbehavioralscience/research-centers/) which provide opportunities to collaborate with existing faculty, and operates two general dentistry residency training programs. Responsibilities for this position will include teaching and mentoring DMD students, oversight of the DMD student external rotation program and directing coursework in dental public health in the area of evidence-based dentistry. Candidates must possess a DDS/DMD degree or equivalent degree along with advanced training in dental public health and previous teaching experience of DMD students. Preference will be given to candidates with Masters and/or doctoral degrees in public health (PhD, DrPH), and a demonstrated record of serving as a course director. Board certification in Dental Public Health is desirable. This position may also have an affiliate appointment in the UF College of Public Health and Health Professions. Expected Salary: Salary and rank are commensurate with education and experience.
