Summary

Responsible for the provision of respiratory therapy treatments, monitoring life support devices and performing selected pulmonary and cardiac diagnostic testing as prescribed by the attending physician within the scope of Cardiopulmonary Services (CPS) This position will assist the program director in coordinating clinical competencies and education, new colleague orientation, equipment maintenance, and clinical colleague schedules.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Education: Associates degree (or equivalent) in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution. Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or an equivalent field from an accredited institution. Minimum Experience: 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in a Cardiopulmonary, Respiratory Therapy or related service area with demonstrated clinical expertise. Preferred Experience: 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a Cardiopulmonary, Respiratory Therapy or related service area with demonstrated clinical expertise. Certifications Required: Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Current State of Indiana Health Professions, Respiratory Care Practitioner license. ACLS/BLS, PALS, NRP Certifications Preferred: Member, American Association for Respiratory Care.
