SUMMARY
Clinical Coordinator provides point-of-service support with key healthcare providers, clinics and hospitals within a specified geography in order to enhance knowledge about end-stage renal disease, provide best practices in renal replacement therapy, coordinate and provide training, enhance compliance, and provide education on proper product usage. This position requires strong communication and coordination with other stakeholders including patients, caregivers, nurses, physicians, access/patients support programs, and other external foundations and support partners.

Essential duties and responsibilities
Provides education and trainings for Health Care Professionals. Plans, prepares, implements and evaluates training sessions in both formal and informal modes to promote competence and confidence in the use of Baxter products and therapies.Provides first line phone and/or on site clinical / technical support / troubleshooting for equipment and products on an ad hoc basis to promote competence and confidence in the use of Baxter products and therapies.Seeks support from the relevant member of the Business on an as required basis to facilitate timely and accurate resolution to customer perceived issues.Plans, prepares, promotes, attends and delivers workshops, seminars and conferences as required. At all times only using pre-approved training educational materials.Keeps accurate records of all educational activities. Ensures that all trainings are documented as per Baxter policy and procedure.Provides support for the sales organization – coordinates and follows up on inquiries and requestTrains new PD patients on general concept of end stage renal disease (ESRD), renal replacement therapies (RRT) and PD productsTrains the APD patients (how) to use Baxter’s PD cycler and troubleshootImplements patients retention programs with Renal teamSupports and performs quality home visits for renal patients and sends home visit assessment to Health Care ProfessionalsReinforces treatment expectations established by the physician, reviews potential product benefits and side effects and reports adverse events and quality issues in a timely manner.Consistently complies and implements all company policies, procedures and processes.Actively participates in the process of quality improvement including suggesting and implementing improvements.Develops and enhances relationships with all levels of external (e.g. nephrologists, intensivists and nurses) and internal customers to create beneficial outcomes for Baxter HealthcareMaintains and develops professional and educational credibility.
