Under the general supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Director of the Cath Lab, the Clinical Coordinator RN provides oversight during the assigned shift for clinical staff in administering of excellent patient care and customer service. This position assumes clinical responsibility for the specialty by providing orientation, teaching, clinical supervision, functions as a resource person for staff members, assist in scheduling procedures for physicians and monthly reports. 

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

 

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

 

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

 

Two years of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Cath Lab. One year experience as a Clinical Coordinator / Charge Nurse preferred.

 

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

 

Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.  

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

 

Demonstrate leadership ability and critical thinking skills required. Excellent communication skills. Computer skills.
