Responsibilities Clinical Coordinator - Social Work/Utilization Management Roxbury is currently hiring a Clinical Coordinator to oversee the clinical programs in our social work and utilization management departments on our acute psychiatric units. This is an operational leader position reporting directly to the Director of Clinical Services. Master's of Social Work, Psychology, or Counselor required. The Clinical Coordinator, Social Work/Utilization Review, provides clinical social work services in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center and the NASW. This position is responsible for psychosocial assessments of the patient’s mental health and drug and alcohol history; individual, group and family therapy; active participation on the treatment team; lead role in the development of the master treatment plan; developing realistic and measurable short and long term goals; and assumes responsibility for coordinating with other agencies involved with the patient the discharge and continuing care plans. The Clinical Coordinator, Social Work/ Utilization Review, also assists the Director of Clinical Services in developing and implementing program and department goals and objectives, standards, policies and procedures and assisting in all areas of the day-to-day operations of the department. This Supervisor also oversees the utilization program in reviewing admissions for appropriate authorizations, continued treatment stays for all levels of care, and working with the Business Office to assure payment of treatment stays and timely appeals of denied cases. This individual serves as a key member of operational leadership and must work in cooperation with physician staff and other department managers. Qualifications Education/Experience: Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in Social Work is required. Supervisory experience highly preferred.
