Clinical Counselor
The University of Southern Maine is seeking applicants for the position of Clinical Counselor. Counseling Services provides culturally sensitive mental health and learning services, prevention programming and outreach, and training for emerging mental health professionals. Counseling and Health Services work collaboratively to provide outstanding clinical services for students. The Clinical Counselor (https://drive.google.com/file/d/10NhOYQ2ivvtuHq3ZAjUmlzirgfc3fCmW/view?usp=sharing) is responsible for providing professional counseling services for students regarding personal, social, academic, occupational, organizational, and mental health concerns. This position also has responsibility for providing psychological consultation to faculty, administrative staff, students, and families. Although this position is mainly clinical, some general outreach work is expected. A senior-level staff member will provide clinical supervision. This is a full-time 10-month position (one month in the summer and one month in the winter off) with a starting annual salary up to $45,000 commensurate with experience. This position will be based primarily on the Gorham Campus but may provide services on all three campuses and via teletherapy. Required Qualifications: + Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work. + Clinical experience in a variety of mental health settings, including college counseling centers preferred. License/Certifications: + Full Licensure in the state of Maine (LCPC, LCSW). Conditional Licensure will be considered.
