Position Description
Serves as a role model of excellence in dietetics knowledge and clinical practice. Job responsibilities for the Clinical Dietitian III- Quality and Development Specialist include those of practitioner, educator, consultant, researcher, change agent, and clinical practice/guideline subject matter expert. They serve as a resource on training development, mentoring, quality improvement and competency compliance for department staff. This is a working role in which at least 25% of workload will be direct patient care.
Position Requirements
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED 1.Bachelor’s degree in Foods and Nutrition related subject matter, and Dietetic Internship or equivalent training. 2.Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. 3.Current licensure as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia. 4.Competent and efficient use of computers 5.Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team 6.Demonstrated knowledge of adult/parent (and/or children as needed) education principles. 7.Good written and oral communication skills. 8.At least three (3) years of clinical nutrition experience. 9.Demonstrated mentoring, organizational, analytical and project management skills. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED Great than or equal to five (5) years’ experience in clinical dietetics with broad area of expertise. PLUS greater than or equal to two (2) years in designated specialty area of focus. Public speaking experience preferred. Masters degree in nutrition subject is highly preferred. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY THE STATE OF GEORGIA Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration) Current licensure as a Registered Dietitian in the State of Georgia.
