Director of Clinical
Services
We are seeking an
experienced and dedicated Director of Clinicals to oversee the daily operations
of our detox facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing
subordinate personnel, providing nursing care, and ensuring the well-being of
our clients. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and clinical
skills.
Responsibilities
· Maintain
and strive for positive, professional relationships with clients, staff,
physicians, visitors, referral sources, and the community.
· Maintain
confidentiality of records relating to clients’ treatment.
· Ensures
timely and accurate submission of clinical documentation by clinical team
daily/weekly for all open/closed client records.
· Conducts
chart reviews for quality and timeliness and documents quarterly reports/outcomes
for 10% of all open/closed records at the time of audit. Responsible for
training clinical staff in needs identified by the clinical chart audits.
Ensures clinical staff maintain compliance with program evaluations and
performance improvement processes.
· Educates
clinical staff in the application of clinical standards as driven by policy and
procedure, insurance standards, state regulatory bodies, and national
accrediting bodies. Responsible for ensuring all policy and procedure,
insurance, state and national program and clinical standards are met.

Provide clinical staff with administrative
supervision, as well as work as a part of a multidisciplinary treatment team as
a member and leader. This includes managing/supervising clinical staff in the
application of professional counseling ethics and behaviors.

Responsible for daily treatment schedule
and assignment of caseloads. Maintain effective scheduling of
applicable/assigned clinical staff to ensure adequate and consistent treatment
services.
· Ensure
timely submission of deliverables enabling UR/Billing team to obtain
authorization and payment for services provided.
Essential Skills
·
Skills in: development of individualized,
trauma-informed treatment and continuing care plans, application of assessment,
counseling and intervention techniques for individuals having a substance abuse
disorder and/or dually diagnosed with substance use disorder and mental illness.

Establishing and maintaining an effective
therapeutic relationship with clients and/or their family members and/or
significant others; professional interaction with community referral sources
toward the enhancement of the provision of a continuum of care for clients.

Timely and effective verbal and written
communication, specifically how such relates to the mandates of insurance,
state, and accrediting bodies; skills in clinical supervision; effective
listening and communication skills in working with clients, peers, subordinates,
supervisor, and the community, to include speaking to large and small groups.
Additional Skills &
Qualifications
·
Licensed by the state in counseling,
psychology, social work, or an addiction related field and be in good standing
with the licensure board.

At least four (4) years clinical
experience in providing professional counseling services in the treatment of
substance abuse, psychiatric disorders, and crisis intervention or in a
position with a dual emphasis.

Minimum two (2) years’ experience in the
clinical/administrative supervision of treatment staff.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.

•\tProvides basic nursing care and monitors the client’s medical status.
•\tEvaluates the physical needs of each client and identifies priority problems as required by medical protocols.
•\tProvides for physical, medical, emotional needs for all clients.
•\tCommunicates effectively with other staff members.
•\tAssures all staff are appropriately trained in the care of chemically dependent persons and persons with mental illness.
•\tAssures that all staff remain current with required agency and licensure mandated training as well as JCAHO standards of care.
•\tCollaborates with members of an interdisciplinary team to ensure physical needs are addressed in clinical treatment and at point of discharge.
•\tDocuments all interventions as indicated.
•\tReports common physical complications related to addiction in adults.
•\tWorks cooperatively in a group/team setting.
