Description:
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The entity Clinical Education Coordinator is responsible for the effective and reliable delivery of unit-based clinical learning and development at an assigned entity. Directs, coordinates, and oversees the education-related work provided by the unit-based clinical educators. Ensures that the entity's unit-based learning and development activities follow established roles and guidelines. In partnership with the entity Chief Nursing Officer, selects, trains, and coaches unit-based educators. Consistently monitors and routinely reports on unit-based clinical educator productivity and effectiveness. Directly reports to the system Manager of Clinical Education and collaborates with the entity Chief Nursing Officer.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursing program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Two (2) years of nursing experience in a hospital (inpatient roles) or clinical (outpatient roles) setting.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current license in the state of Georgia as a registered nurse.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous supervisory experience desired. Previous educator experience desired. Bachelor's degree preferred. Advanced certification in field of specialty preferred.
