Statement of Purpose:
Under the direction of the Director of Education and Nursing Quality, the Clinical Educator (CE) assumes responsibility for assessing the clinical learning needs of the inpatient nursing staff, responding to those needs by serving as a clinical resource and role model, and promoting an environment that encourages professional growth and quality patient care. In collaboration with nursing leadership, the CE supports the educational goals and objectives of the nursing departments.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
Masters in Nursing, Education, Quality or another related field preferred
Certification/License:
Current RN License in Massachusetts
Current CPR skills
Current ACLS
Certification in related specialty preferred
Experience: Minimum 5 years current medical, surgical, and cardiac monitoring experience required. Critical care experience preferred. Bedside teaching experience (e.g. student nurses, preceptees) preferred.
