The RN Clinical Educator develops and provides training and education for new and current clinic and ancillary staff in clinical skills, clinic processes, policies, compliance and other topics. This position works in collaboration with clinic managers and leadership around educational needs assessments, evaluations, and design. The person in this role evaluates and updates training programs to ensure accurate, timely courses that meet regulatory requirements, collaborates with education team daily to ensure smooth operations for employees and provides training to new employees to ensure thorough on-boarding experience so assigned clinic staff have the tools and training they need to successfully carry out their job assignments.
RN Clinical Educator Overview
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develops curriculum based on current ambulatory healthcare needs, regulatory requirements, best-practices, and by request of managers and leadershipMaintains expertise in blended learning principles including Learning Management Systems (LMS), Computer based courses, classroom and skill lab education, video learning, and researches best methods for content deliveryIndividualizes content based on learner needsWelcomes new employees to M Physicians and provides topical and regulatory education during new employee orientationProvides contact hours for staff use and maintains training records related to all coursesDevelops positive plans for successful completion of courses for students who require additional supportDesigns content based on adult learning principlesCreates effective learning material for learners of all experience levelsReviews all courses provided by department on an annual basis for accuracy, best-practice, and current regulatory/guideline requirementsDevelops course objectives for every modality and course createdMonitors and evaluates training programs, processes and/or practices for quality and effectiveness; makes recommendations for improvementAnalyzes training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programsActs as a resource to provide information or determine the most effective way of meeting the training needs of clinic staffWorks collaboratively with members of the EPIC training team; is flexible, communicates well, and is understanding of the needs of other educators utilizing education resources and spaceDemonstrates ability to provide training and instruction adjusting approaches to reflect employment level and cultural differences of population served
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's (ASN) or Bachelor's (BSN) in NursingLicensed as a Registered Nurse in MNCPR certified BLS certified Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS)2+ years of clinical training experienceLocation: 720 Washington Ave SE Ste 200, Minneapolis, MN 55414
