What you will do:
The Educational Nursing Educator is responsible for the twenty-four (24) hour planning, provision, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the Nursing department's staff development, orientation and educational programs. The Educational Nursing educator also serves as a member of the hospital Continuing Education committee.Serve as a member of the hospital Continuing Education committee.Serve as resource, planner, clinical expert and promoter/provider in the areas of orientation, rehabilitation techniques, nursing process, in-service and continuing education, staff competencies, and information technology and systems.What you will need:
Licensure: Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) licensure required.Education: Graduation from a B.S.N. degree program is preferred. A postgraduate degree in Nursing or a related field, as well as specialty nursing certification (e.g., CRRN or equivalent), is highly desirable.Experience: At least two (2) years of demonstrated, current competency in clinical rehabilitation or medical-surgical nursing.Staff Development: Previous experience in staff development is preferred, demonstrating an ability to mentor and guide team members effectively.Technical Skills: Strong computer skills with hands-on experience in health information systems, ensuring proficiency in managing digital healthcare operations.Communication Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact and collaborate at all organizational levels.Multitasking and Organization: Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple demands in high-stress situations, ensuring all assignments are completed independently and efficiently.Analytical and Innovative Thinking: Skilled in evaluating current methodologies and introducing innovative ideas or approaches to improve processes and achieve better outcomes.Mission & Values: Abiding by the Mission & Values, the functions of the Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) are to provide professional development and education services in the clinical setting.Pay Range: $38.70-$52.10 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
