**Job Description:** The Clinical Engineer Apprentice is assigned to learn & perform basic medical equipment service on low-risk equipment and works under direct or indirect supervision. These functions are performed while also completing the apprenticeship educational program. + **Essential Functions** + Capacity to learn about medical equipment, human anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology. + Entry level knowledge of basic troubleshooting and repair techniques to perform equipment repairs. + Accountable in the performance of preventive maintenance procedures on low-risk medical equipment. + Develops the skill to utilize tools and test equipment required for job duties and responsibilities + Adheres to confidentiality requirements and safeguarding of protected health information (PHI). + Ability to use a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for documentation. + Aptitude to understand regulatory requirements pertaining to medical equipment management. + **Skills** + Communication + Customer Service + Individual Development + Learning Ability + Accountability + Data Entry + Time Management + Computer Literacy + Safety and PPE + Continuous Improvement + **Qualifications** + Commitment to learning and staying compliant with the requirements of the Apprenticeship Program. + Associate of Applied Science Degree is preferred. Education will be verified. **Physical Requirements:** **Physical Requirements** + Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs. + Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. + Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
