GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Provides service support and preventive maintenance on higher end biomedical equipment and systems (e.g., patient control station monitors, electrosurgence generators, etc.) during normal working hours and on-call rotation as required.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responds to unscheduled service requests from users by performing initial problem verification, troubleshooting, and problem correction. (40%)Completes scheduled maintenance in accordance with PM Inspection and Protocol management plan. Initiates and completes documentation after repair or PM is completed. (40%)Assists other technical positions in Clinical Engineering and other departments in the organization as required. (10%)Attends service schools, in house training or self-directed study as required on higher end equipment and systems. (5%)Performs and/or assists in installation of higher end systems. (5%)Performs other duties as assigned or required.QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
Graduate from an electronic technical school3 years’ experience performing direct repair and maintenance of general biomedical devices and systems, plus an additional 2 years repair and maintenance on higher end devicesPreferred
