Clinical Engineering Training Specialist

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees ongoing strategies and tracking for all Clinical Engineering technical educational programs. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates educational programs for staff ensuring quality and cost effectivenessManages and tracks the training budget and return on investment for training to ensure that cost savings, safety, and service enhancement targets are being achieved. Collaborates with OEMs and technical schools to facilitate student placement for trainingDevelops strategies and collaborates with CE teammates to evaluate Clinical Engineering training needsIdentifies, plans, tracks, and evaluates educational opportunities in collaboration with Clinical Engineering leaders based on identified needs assessment and requests, results of activities, new technology, healthcare trends, regulatory agency requirements, strategic planning, and scopes of serviceEnsures consistency, quality, and unnecessary duplication of educational offerings/information and program developmentCollaborate with CE leaders to develop and evaluate annual technical competencies to assist with technical education plans related to career goalsDevelops and manages the department's policies and procedures for technical training. Ensures compliance with Clinical Engineering training standardsDevelops and recommends training budgets and manages expenditures within approved budget objectives.MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Level of Education: Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or business
Years of Experience: 5 years in clinical engineering, with 2-3 years of experience in training project management support
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
Excellent human relations and analytical skills. Self-motivated with the ability to independently schedule, organize and manage self with minimal supervisionDemonstrated ability to function independently within a broad scope of guidelines and to instruct, guide, assign, advise, and lead team membersAbility to effectively manage time and resources in a dynamic, complex, and highly visible environment with multiple dependencies, competing interests, and challenging timelinesExcellent project management skills and ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.Ability to take responsibility for a large portfolio including multiple strategic projects, interpret highly technical analysis in non-technical terms for management reporting manage complex issues, drive savings, and develop strategic relationships.Effectively communicate and partner with internal and vendor leadership at all levelsDemonstrated leadership ability to coordinate, mentor, and coach any clinical engineering operations staff toward department and organizational objectivesAdvanced written and verbal communication skills and excellent organizational skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
