Join our team at Burrell / Comprehensive as a Clinical Intake Specialist in our Connection Services program!

As a Clinical Intake Specialist, you'll complete initial screenings and evaluations for individuals across the lifespan seeking mental health services. You'll establish initial treatment plans, provide provisional mental health diagnoses, make referral recommendations for relevant services, and engage in safety planning and brief therapy/bridge sessions as clinically appropriate. Our ideal candidate is passionate about mental health, has experience in behavioral health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders, and strong clinical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Complete initial screenings and evaluations for individuals seeking mental health servicesEstablish initial treatment plans and provide provisional mental health diagnosesProvide referral recommendations for relevant services within the organizationEngage in safety planning and provide brief therapy/bridge sessions as clinically appropriateUtilize experience and knowledge in behavioral health, substance use, and co-occurring disordersAssist in welcoming individuals and facilitating engagement with servicesProvide client-centered care and accurate documentation

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related fieldTwo years of relevant experience preferredMissouri state license or license eligible as one of the following: PLPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, PLMFT, LMFT, PLP, or LPASAM training/experience preferred

Additional Qualifications:

Pending approval from the Licensure Committee, the ability to provide clinical supervision to individuals in training may be included.
