Clinical Intern - Float Pool - PRN
Job Description​

The Opportunity: 

Are you in school for a healthcare related program and looking to get some hands on experience in a hospital setting to boost that resume? This position was built with you in mind! Flexible scheduling with a low number of shift requirements to accommodate the hectic schedule of a student in the healthcare track!

Saint Luke’s North in Kansas City is seeking a Student Intern to join our team. This role will give you the opportunity to receive on the job training within the patient transportation, clinical patient sitter, and other support team roles by floating between departments as needed based on staffing and patient care needs. This position sets you up for a smooth transition into whatever role your education track leads you into! Help ensure our vision to be, “The Best Place to Get Care. The Best Place to Give Care.” 

Shift Details: 12 hour shifts of choice (06:45am-7:15pm or 6:45pm-7:15am), 1 shift every 6 week rotation, no weekend or holiday commitment

The Work:  

·         Assist in clinical 1:1 patient care

·         Transport inpatients from one department to another for testing/procedures 

·         Able to maneuver wheel chairs, carts, and beds as needed for transportation 

·         Closely monitor and observe patients in a 1:1 setting due to safety concerns
