The Clinical Laboratory Scientist II (CLS II) functions with general directions from senior technical personnel in the Division of Point of Care Testing. Responsibilities include performing routine laboratory tests and may include some technically complex assays. Activities include operating and maintaining test equipment, performing, and documenting QC, training of non-laboratory testing personnel, recognizing, and responding to problems, and verifying and reporting test results. Additional duties include general support functions necessary for the routine operation of the laboratory.
