Summary: Processes requests and receives clinical laboratory/clinical research/research testing material within the department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine; accessions, processes, and routes clinical laboratory testing material to appropriate clinical testing area; transcribes, prints, sorts, mails, and faxes laboratory reports; handles requests for laboratory reports, specimen tracking, and laboratory requests via phone, email, mail, and other correspondence methods; assists with the performance of laboratory quality control, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance activities; maintains laboratory supply inventories and processes requests for supply orders.

Salary range for the Clinical Laboratory Assistant I is $41,399 - $50,884 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Salary range for the Clinical Laboratory Assistant II is $46,306 - $56,743 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.

Qualifications:Required Education and Experience

1. Associate’s degree in a Healthcare discipline; or
2. Associate’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a clinical or research setting requiring the use of medical/laboratory terminology; or
3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and current enrollment in an approved BS program in Clinical Laboratory Technology; or
4. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of two (2) years of full time experience in a clinical or research setting requiring the use of medical/laboratory terminology

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
