Clinical Laboratory Scientist
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Scientist for a full-time, third-shift position (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM), requiring every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday). This role offers a 10% night shift differential and the flexibility to adjust other days of the week. MLS level certification (ASCP or AMT) is required as per CLIP regulations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform high-complexity patient testing in a Clinical Pathology Service, covering areas such as chemistry, hematology pre-analytics and automation, immunoassays, coagulation, and differentials in a fast-paced, high-volume lab environment. - Ensure adherence to quality control, quality assurance, proficiency testing, and safety standards as set by the College of American Pathologists, as well as local, state, and federal agencies. - Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and quality checks on laboratory instruments, taking corrective actions as needed to ensure accuracy. - Support the laboratory’s goals by delivering timely, reliable results while maintaining cost-efficiency. **Required Qualifications:** - **MLS level certification** through ASCP or AMT (per CLIP regulation). - Minimum of **one year of specialized experience** performing high-complexity patient testing, including areas such as chemistry, immunoassays, toxicology, coagulation, and urinalysis. - Experience with quality control, instrument maintenance, and proficiency testing for national accreditation. **Services Provided:** Our healthcare facility, has been a flagship of military medicine for over 75 years, delivering care to active-duty military personnel, their families, and civilian patients.
