Job DescriptionPerform Laboratory Tests: Conduct a variety of tests on body tissues, such as blood, urine, and other samples, to diagnose and monitor diseases.Analyze Results: Evaluate test results for accuracy and reliability, and report findings to healthcare providers.Operate Equipment: Use and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning correctly.Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy of test results.Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of tests and results, updating patient medical records as necessary.Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide essential diagnostic information.Training: Assist in training and supervising new laboratory personnel and students.ResponsibilitiesCollect arterial and venous blood specimens.Perform tests on blood bank, chemistry, urinalysis, hematology, hemostasis, immunology, and microbiology procedure lists.Analyze quality control materials.Work within Lab information system and laboratory pathnet computer system.QualificationsASCP or AMT CertificationMust have MLT or MLS associates or bachelors degreeExperience in blood bankPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.25 - $43.00
