Salary Range: $31.37 - $40.11  

*As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices 

Position Summary

Under supervision, performs various clinical laboratory tests and research activities in the laboratory.

Job Responsibilities Runs various routine ELISA, RIA, multiplex, biochemical and molecular assays. Performs various sample processing and maintains computer database. Assists in testing validation, and in preparing standard operation protocols and regulatory documents. Prepares and maintains detailed records, logs and summary reports of all procedures and results to fulfill regulatory requirements and scientific reports. Responsible for the receipt, storage, cataloguing and shipment of samples and laboratory supplies within and between institutions. Provides technical support to investigators and trainees. Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment and reagents, and ensures that facilities and equipment are in optimal and proper working condition. Coordinates preventative maintenance and repairs as needed. Ensures the safe laboratory practices are followed, including the use and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials. Performs other related duties as directed. Education Associate's Degree Experience

Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Approximately 2 or more years of previous clinical laboratory experience.

NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist/Technician license or equivalent must be obtained within 6 months of hire if not available at time of hire.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to plan and prioritize work while responding flexibly to rapidly changing priorities. Licenses and Certifications NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist/Technician license or equivalent. This position may handle radioactive material and/or biologic materials from human subjects or COVID19 patients as required.
