The work schedule for this position is approximately 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with rotating weekends and holidays (schedule flexibility is needed).

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testingCommunicate effectively with client office staffResearch, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problemsMeet department activity and production goalsData entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerScrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated

 

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Medical Lab Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirementsMinimum of 1 year of previous clinical lab work experience is requiredLA State CLS (LSBME) license is requiredASCP or AMT certification is requiredMust be able to pass a standardized color vision screen

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to work independently and within a team environment.Proficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plusHigh level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
