The Clinical Liaison is an exciting opportunity for you to be a part of building our healthy future! As a Clinical Liaison, you will have the ability to use your clinical skills while working in a strategic business environment. Successful Liaisons will educate the community about the services provided by Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center and will develop and maintain positive relationships with families, caregivers, medical professionals and the communities we serve. Through the building of long term relationships, the Liaison will facilitate the identification and assessment of medically appropriate patients for potential admission to Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center departments. Position Summary: Consistently supports compliance and the Code of Conduct (Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center's code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and license requirements (if applicable), and Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center's policies and procedures. Minimum Education: + Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Social Work. Preferred Education: + Master's degree in health care, public or business administration, or related field required. Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: + 3+ years working in a hospital-based clinical setting in a direct care or ancillary role; evidence of exceptional customer service, referral management, and patient/family satisfaction experience. + Experience working with an adult population. + Excellent written and interpersonal skills for functioning in a team environment. + Working knowledge of regulatory and reimbursement mechanisms. + Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment. Additional Requirements: + Demonstrated success in operations improvement efforts, cost management initiatives, and hospital and health system development and management. + Thorough understanding of the healthcare industry, particularly related to physician relationships as well as nurse and ancillary care givers. + Experience in managing multiple aspects of health care delivery. + Thorough knowledge of legal, regulatory, ethical, managerial, organizational requirements, principles and standards of care for hospitals and healthcare systems. + Experience assessing programs, evaluating organizational needs, designing process changes, and successfully implementing changes to process flow and patient care. + Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of hospital administration. + Extensive experience working with physicians and other clinicians; must have examples of successful collaborative efforts. + Must be able to work in a union environment. Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications: + 1+ years working in an Acute Rehabilitation or Skilled Nursing unit in a direct care or ancillary role; evidence of leading effective marketing or referral management project(s), and/or patient/family satisfaction improvement processes.
