The Clinical Liaison will ensure appropriate and prompt patient placement through clinical screenings and assessments in collaboration with both hospital Case Management and the Rehab Medical Director. The Clinical Liaison will work with the IRF staff to coordinate admissions and communicate any special patient needs. The Clinical Liaison will develop an understanding of IRF Operations and Quality Outcomes and establish themselves as an IRF advocate within the health care systems and the community.
Preferred 1-2 year of experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation setting. Strong knowledge of inpatient rehab. Skills: Ability to comprehensively review a medical record for rehab medical necessity; consistently applied organizational skills; results oriented; independently goal directed; able to multi-task; able to communicate well with many diverse audiences - professional and lay persons; able to meet established time frames; excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers; able to work independently; experience with computer and other electronic data entry devices.
1. Current State of Florida license as a RN, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Therapist.
