As a Clinical Manager Outpatient Imaging, you will manage the department and supervise our technical and clerical personnel. This leader performs analysis to evaluate and create new processes and operating procedures, and conducts fiscal planning, budgeting and related financial activities. Additionally, this leader ensures quality patient care and revises established procedures to achieve maximum efficiency.
This is the ideal role for an individual with multiple site management experience with various modalities. This position requires a balance of operational expertise and strategic vision. This is a prime role to prepare someone for a director-level role in the health system.
A caregiver in this role works on-site at our Bath, Stow, Green and Tallmadge Health and Wellness Centers.
A caregiver who excels in this role, will:
Monitor, evaluate and report status of departmental operations. Manage non-physician managers and support personnel within the department.
Ensure the department is properly staffed.
Perform analysis and management studies to evaluate effectiveness of department. Act as a liaison internally and externally.
Ensure staff coverage through effective scheduling.
Conduct hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actions as appropriate.
Advise staff of career development and educational opportunities.
Manage the daily operations for the department to ensure maximum operating efficiencies.
Initiate, research and implement special studies and projects to enhance patient care delivery systems.
Monitor appointment scheduling and patient flow systems.
Recommend and implement revisions to ensure maximum service.
Manage all aspects of the accreditation process in collaboration with Medical Physics and Quality.
Assist with financial planning and other related financial activities.
Prepare and manage the annual budget for the section, project patient levels, staff growth and space remodeling needs.
Analyze costs and fees, recommend changes.
Participate in long-range planning strategies related to the department's revenues, human resource needs and services.
Perform duties as a technologist as needed, to maintain skills and assist with patient care needs.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospital Administration, Allied Health or related field
Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
5 years of related managerial experience
Must be a Registered Technologist credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists RT (AART)
BLS Healthcare Provider
