Job Description
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: C linical Molecular Geneticist/Molecular Pathologist
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City invites applications for a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Attending . This individual will have primary clinical responsibilities in the Diagnostic Molecular Genetics Laboratory with a focus on germline genetic analysis.
Role Overview:
The Diagnostic Molecular Genetics Laboratory offers an extensive range of NGS-based tests for hereditary cancer predispositions . Candidates are expected to actively participate in molecular diagnostic case sign-out and to assist in quality assurance programs and new assay development . Plentiful o pportunities exist to engage in collaborative or independent basic or applied research .
Key Qualifications:
+ Ph. D. and/ or MD degree
+ Must have completed a qualified clinical training program and be board certified (or eligible) in Clinical Molecular Genetics, Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics) or Molecular Genetic Pathology (American Board of Pathology )
+ Hold or be eligible for a N ew Y ork State Department of Health Certificate of Qualification in Genetic Testing.
Pay Range: $161,000 - $411,000
