The Clinical Nurse Educator assesses, develops, implements, and leads educational activities designed to grow, maintain, and improve the professional competence of clinical Team Members, and creates and oversees assigned clinical programs by completing needs assessments.

Employs evidence-based practice in educational methodologies and clinical practiceAssists in the clinical orientation of new Team Members, provides ongoing consultation on educational requirements and existing resources to direct care Team MembersActively participates in the quality improvement process, acts as a positive agent of change and communicationGuides other disciplines in applying principles of evidence-based care to their educational needs.Performs appropriate RN functions and other duties when assigned. Follows the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) Scope and Standards of Practice.This role would support the NICU at St. Jospeh Women's Hospital.

 

Requirements:

RN (Registered Nurse) LicenseRequired BSN with 3 years of RN Clinical Experience OR Bachelor's in Healthcare Related Field with 4 years of Nursing EducationA background in a level 4 NICU is highly preferred.Preferred professional organization certificationPreferred ANPD certificationBLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart AssociationNRP is required.
