Description:

Reporting to the Director of ICU, the Clinical Nurse will provide bedside care to PACU overflow patients.  

Responsibilities:

Collaborative planning, coordinating, and delivering quality care to medical, surgical and telemetry patients that are acutely ill, as well as those recovering from post-operative procedures, such as bariatric and orthopedic procedures.Facilitate best practices to deliver quality care through the identification, implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions and communication of results to the healthcare team.Provides education to patients and their families on medical and post-surgical care.

Requirements:

Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (BSN preferred).  Note, if the BSN degree is not present on hire, the employee must sign an agreement to obtain a within a specific time frame.Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.BLS certification required (issued through the American Heart Association)Superb interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilitiesCompetency in electronic patient management systems

Preferred:

At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care settingACLS recommended

Pay Range: $35.41 – $54.19

Pay is based on experience, skills and education.  Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.  The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
