Position Summary:
Provide programmatic and clinical management including accountability for nursing care. Provide direct care and supervision of nursing services provided to patients. Act as a clinical resource, role model, educator, and change agent promoting quality cost effective patient care in accordance with standards, regulations, and the goals and objectives of the unit.

Registered Nurse required. Masters preferredLicensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of MichiganFive years prior employment experience in relevant clinical areas. Previous positions should include successive levels of increased responsibilityWhat the Clinical Nurse Manager Surgical Services will do:
Develop structure for the areas of responsibility and ensure staff involvement and support. Coordinate the inter and intra depart-mental and inter and intra facility servicesOrient, train and provide continued staff education and development to ensure staff competency and quality of care and servicesDevelop budget for areas of responsibility and monitor expenditures to ensure efficient and effective utilization of financial resourcesHold regular staff meetings/forums and focus group discussions to promote staff under-standing of strategic direction and initiatives.Facilitate the resolution of problems and conflict by encouraging decision making by those responsible, remaining objective, respecting feelings, and soliciting perspectives to each new ideaParticipate and exercise leadership by supporting organizational activities, recognition days, fund development activities, and organization sponsored community eventsMaintain inventory and order necessary supplies for department. Recommend department equipment, supplies and/or other resourcesObtain and analyze appropriate data in arriving at decisions within an agreed-upon time frameDevelop short and long range plans that support the mission of the organization, the strategic plan, departmental and team goals and objectivesPromote team work by keeping others informed, participating effectively in group decision making, working to accomplish team objectives and projects, and by soliciting feedback about one's effectiveness as a team memberOur Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
