Clinical Nursing Skill Lab Coordinator

We currently have an immediate opening for a Lab Coordinator at our site in Sun City. This position is integral to delivery of partner university lab for nursing students.  This position will report to the Director of Nursing Services (DNS).

Site Location: GCU ABSN, 10847 W. Thunderbird Blvd, Sun City

Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm, varies based on student lab schedule

What you will do:

 Provide onboarding activities for Lab equipment to all faculty/instructors working in the labVerify competency in lab equipment operations for all individuals using the equipment annuallyServe as resource for all instructors for troubleshooting all technical problemsMaintain policy and procedure manual keeping current with equipment/mannequin information and instructionsManage lab supplies by monitoring par levels, submitting regular supply orders, and maintaining inventory in conjunction with DNSCollaborate on capital budget recommendations for lab equipmentDocument all cleaning and maintenance activities of lab equipment by required datesCreate and maintain life-cycle maintenance in collaboration with vendors or lab equipment

What you need:

Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare fieldExperience working with healthcare equipmentBasic knowledge of medical terminologyMS Office and proficiency in ExcelAbility to maintain supplies, ordering and inventory managementMust be able to work a varied schedule to meet the needs of internal clientsAbility to influence within the context of having accountability but not authorityData-driven/evidence-based decision-making skillsSelf-directed with the ability to adapt to changing needs and prioritiesCommitment to excellence in quality skills lab experienceTravel will be required for training/educational purposes
