Sodexo currently has an opportunity for a Clinical Nutrition Manager to join our team at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. A state-of-the-art hospital that serves the community by providing inpatient primary care, basic emergency services, and health education and outreach services.

 

In this role you will be responsible for managing the Clinical Nutrition program at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital.

Reporting to the General Manager the ideal Candidate will:

Serve in a leadership role as part of the Food and Nutrition Services management team;Be responsible for managing and developing a team of Dietitians and foster successful patient care programs;Maintain a visible role with client interaction, representing the department on hospital-wide medical staff committees;Have a track record of proactive interaction with the medical team;

What You Bring A registered dietitian credential with at least 2 years lead or management experience in an acute care setting;Prior experience with a successful room service program is preferred;Be an outstanding team player with excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills;The ability to demonstrate skills to monitor and evaluate the nutrition program; accreditation and regulatory readiness and review while establishing and maintain standards of care;Proven supervisory or management experience with an aptitude for program growth and development.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Management Experience: At least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.

Minimum Functional Experience: 3 years as experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners
