To strengthen our Clinical Supply Chain department, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Clinical Packaging Manager. This position is based in our hub in Braine l’Alleud, Belgium.

 

About the Role

As a Clinical Packaging Manager, you will lead the way in delivering high-quality clinical trial materials. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate Clinical Packaging Operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery within a GMP-compliant, inspection-ready facility. You will leverage expertise in GMP packaging and quality management to uphold our stringent standards. You will drive team development and process improvements while managing daily operations and preparing for future business, regulatory and/or digital needs.

You will join a team that values collaboration, adaptability, and commitment. In Clinical Packaging & Logistics Operations (CPLO), our small, dynamic team operates in a supportive environment focused on solutions and patient needs. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational efficiency and smooth processes, while developing and adapting to new products, regulations, or digital transformations.

 

What You Will Do

 

Lead and manage Clinical Packaging Operations, securing strict adherence to GMP, GDP, and UCB Quality and HSE Standards.Oversee label printing, visual inspection, primary and secondary packaging processes.Drive team performance, manage task organization, and resource allocation.Manage quality deviations, investigations, and change controls, act as SME during audits, and ensure compliance through Batch Record reviews.Lead improvement initiatives and projects, streamline processes, and align with organizational goals.Build a culture of continuous improvement and high performance, offering mentorship and regular talent reviews.Lead by example, working hands-on with employees and promoting a collaborative work environment.

 

Interested? For this position, you’ll need the following education, experience, and skills:

 

Master's degree (or relevant experience) scientific, engineering, chemistry, or any relevant field.7+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on Manufacturing and Clinical Trial Supplies.Proven leadership and mentoring skills with team management experience.Business-driven problem-solving with strong analytical skills.Demonstrates accountability, sound decision-making, and effective teamwork.Proficient in change management.Fluency in French and very good knowledge of English.Lean certification (YB, GB, BB) is an asset.Proficient with IT systems; SAP and/or MES experience is a plus.
