IDEXX is delighted to invite applications for a residency position in Veterinary Clinical Pathology beginning mid-2025, with the goal of preparing for and completing the ACVP Clinical Pathology Board Examination.
 

The position is based at our new, state-of-the-art laboratory in Kornwestheim, Germany. The successful candidate will join our team of 11 board-certified clinical pathologists, two certified German specialists (Fachtieriärztinnen für klinische Laboratoriumsdiagnostik), and two current residents.
 

Training will involve case-directed learning (microscopic and virtual cytology and haematology), as well as supported study (including rounds, Journal club etc.). The prospective candidate will receive training in all fields of Clinical Pathology including haematology, cytology, clinical chemistry, urinalysis and laboratory quality management, as well as surgical pathology.

The 4-year program is funded by IDEXX Europe, and ongoing funding is dependent on satisfactory annual progress. We are looking for a veterinarian who has a strong desire to excel in Clinical Pathology.  Candidates need to demonstrate evidence of interest and commitment to pathology, be hard working and avid team players. Prior experience working within a laboratory will be beneficial. The candidate must be fluent in German and have solid English skills. On satisfactory completion of the program, candidates will have the opportunity to progress their career within IDEXX.
