Job Description

The Clinical Patient Navigation, Medical Affairs I is responsible for providing exceptional support to Guardant Health customers (patients), and Guardant Health internal stakeholders. The Clinical Patient Navigation, Medical Affairs I must possess the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all individuals, including external customers and internal Guardant Health personnel.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Receive, respond to, and document all forms of patient communication, including telephone calls, email messages, and patient portal inquiries, ensuing prompt and accurate responsesCommunicate clearly and effectively, adapting messaging to meet the diverse needs of patients and other stakeholders.Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) specific to Clinical Patient Navigation, Medical Affairs, ensuring compliance and consistency in patient care.Educate patients on the importance of cancer screening and guide them through the screening process, ensuring they understand the steps involved and the significance of timely action. Assist in the development, monitoring and modifying to align with the dynamic healthcare environmentProactively monitor prospective patients, providing clinical education and assistance to encourage and facilitate cancer screeningDemonstrate problem solving skills to handle clinical patient questions or concerns around cancer screening.Support patients with scheduling blood draws, including managing blood collection kit requirements and educating patients on proper procedures.Ability to communicate effectively with respect to patient challenges and barriers to Guardant Health leadershipAbility to effectively tailor messages appropriately to target audiences.Follow the escalation process by triaging urgent patient concerns to the clinical patient navigation or manager as appropriateUtilize strong problem-solving skills to resolve customer complaints and manage escalated situations with professionalism and empathy.Follow the established escalation process by triaging urgent patient concerns to the appropriate manager, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and effectively.Monitor data for key performance indicatorsPerform additional administrative duties as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Clinical Patient Navigation, Medical Affairs team.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required and any clinical certificationBilingual in Spanish a plusMinimum of 2 years industry specific experience working closely with patients in clinical settingExperience in patient navigation, healthcare or a related field is preferred.Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and patients.Proficiency in data management and an understanding of performance metrics.Problem-solving skills with a focus on patient-centered solutions.Ability to work as part of a team comprised of internal employees, contractors and
managers.Ability to multitask and take on various projects.Ability to work with self-discipline, good judgment and independence in a dynamic office and/or remote setting.Excellent written, verbal communication skills are required, as is computer proficiency.The ability to speak Spanish is a plusFlexibility with respect to working hours based on operational need.Remote Position. Additional Information

Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. At Guardant, our work model has created flexibility for better work-life balance while keeping teams connected to advance our science for our patients.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $48,000 to $64,800. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any).

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
