CLINICAL PHARMACIST

Springfield or Columbia, Missouri

This exciting opportunity allows you to collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers to provide exceptional pharmaceutical care to our behavioral health clients and employees.

As a Clinical Pharmacist you will support optimal pharmaceutical care to our patients focusing on safe and effective medication therapy management ensuring the best outcomes for patients. You'll assess patient medication needs, develop personalized treatment plans, deliver injections, and monitor therapeutic responses to ensure safe and effective therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver and track injections Coordinate injection delivery with our own pharmacy for the satellite clinicsAssist with PAsCounsel patients about the selection, storage, and use of medications, nutritional supplements, and other healthcare productsAccurately weigh, measure, and mix compounded medicationsCorrectly use pharmaceutical equipment and techniquesProvide great customer service, ensuring each patient is satisfied with their experienceSupervise the activities of the pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with all professional rules and standards of pharmacy practiceMonitor and maintain inventory control of both prescription and over-the-counter medicationsUnderstand the use of available drug information resources and accurately respond to drug information inquiries from patients and healthcare providersAdhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and policiesCommunicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other members of the pharmacy teamWork collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient careDemonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skillsInterpret, input, fill, and label prescriptions and drug orders promptly and accuratelyUse pharmacy information systems and clinical decision support systems efficientlyDemonstrate a strong understanding of medication therapy management, drug interactions, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics

To qualify, you'll need:

BCPP Board CertificationSuccessful completion of PGY-1 residency or relevant professional experienceDoctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree from ACPE-accredited institutionMTS certification
