Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified Clinical Pharmacist in Englishtown, NJ.

Qualifications:

Required:

BA/BS in Pharmacy, with Pharm DCurrent NJ Pharmacy LicenseResidency in Pharmacy or comparable experience requiredOne year of current pharmacy experience

Preferred:

Specialized trianing of experience in emergency medicine, geriatrics or critical care preferredHospital Pharmacy experience preferred

Certifications and Licenses Required:

Pharmacy licensure in New Jersey

Scheduling Requirements:

Day Shift, 40 hours/weekFull-Time Schedule

Essential Functions:

Direct patient care monitoring to assure appropriateness of medication therapyConsult, and Educate pharmacy and nursing staff on best (medication) practicesIdentify, promote, and implement safe mediation practicesAssure medication related practices are being done in accordance with written policyTrack clinical interventions, assemble and evaluate Department documentation metricsMonitor the medication reconciliation processDevelop the clinical skills of the staff pharmacist and maintain staff performance and consistency with clinical cost containment tasksPrecept pharmacy students and/or Residents when applicableCommunicate and present clinical data and Department metrics at various committees
