Position Summary
The Clinical Pharmacist engages within the Medical Affairs - Medicare Formulary Administration team to support the creation and maintenance of the CVS Caremark standard and client-modified Medicare formularies.
This role is responsible for supporting the immediate team, Clinical Advisors, and other teams to prepare CMS formulary files and formulary drug lists, provide direction to internal partners to implement downstream clinical activities, and to support other formulary and utilization management related processes, projects, and requests.
This is a hybrid role, based in-office 3 days/week with the opportunity to work from home the remaining days. Candidate must reside in commutable distance to our Buffalo Grove, IL, office location.
Required Qualifications
· Experience: 1+ years in Heath Care setting and/or completion of managed care residency
· Active pharmacist license that is in good standing
· Excellent oral and written communications skills
· Excellent organizational skills
· Demonstrated ability to think strategically
Preferred Qualifications
· Pharmacy Practice or Managed Care residency
· Demonstrated experience with formulary management, Medicare Part D, PBM and Managed Care, drug file and adjudication
· Strong Clinical Skills
· Knowledge of regulatory environment and applicable standards
· Ability to resolve problems by influencing or motivating others
Education
· Bachelor’s degree Pharmacy - required
· Doctorate PharmD - preferred
· Registered Pharmacist - required

The typical pay range for this role is:
$129,800.00 - $206,250.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
