Clinical Pharmacist - Oncology Operations

Job Summary:  To perform a wide variety of duties to help meet the pharmaceutical needs of the organization and its patients. Provides medication-related services to physicians, staff, and community.  Coordinates delivery of pharmaceutical care through distribution of medications, provision of clinical services, and supervision of technicians. Serve as an effective pharmacy liaison to infusion center and oncology medical and nursing staff.

Qualifications: PharmD or Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from an accredited college or university;  For Bachelor’s  degree pharmacists, a minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Clinical Pharmacist in a hospital setting;  Maintains active BLS certification; Current NC pharmacist license required; Thorough knowledge of pharmacy terminology, procedures and policies; Considerable skill in performing pharmacy procedures; Ability to communicate effectively with nursing personnel, physicians, and other health care team members. Ability to proactively problem solve and think independently. Ability to train and mentor other pharmacists, pharmacy residents, and pharmacy technicians. Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals.
