Shift Daytime hours (Typically 8:00am – 5:00pm) Monday through Friday Job Summary The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing is seeking a Clinical Placement Coordinator for the Undergraduate Program. This position will be responsible for supporting and coordinating clinical operations within the College of Nursing’s Undergraduate program. The Clinical Placement Coordinator will handle the new hire paperwork and compliance of new part-time clinical instructor hires as well as compliance of undergraduate students, as well as foster effective collaboration among academic, healthcare, and community partners. Working closely with faculty, program directors, and students, the clinical placement coordinator will ensure that all students have a productive and optimal clinical experience. The Clinical Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for clinical placement within and outside the College of Nursing and ensures contracts are in place with each agency. The role requires a high level of autonomy and the ability to effectively manage and oversee clinical instructor operations across various levels.

Key responsibilities include: facilitating the new hire paperwork hiring of part-time clinical instructors maintenance of college databases maintaining regular communication with program leadership, faculty, clinical instructors, students, and healthcare organizations


The coordinator will also ensure the selection of high-quality clinical sites that provide valuable experiential learning opportunities and align with student-learning objectives for nursing courses. This position necessitates meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams to uphold clinical standards and improve the student learning experience. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication, and Microsoft Office Suite skills. Knowledge of or experience working in the healthcare field is highly preferred. Self-motivated with the demonstrated ability to complete tasks efficiently and independently. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Bachelors Degree with three years of successful demonstration of business development and/or relationship management experience, preferably in healthcare arena.
