Incumbent is capable of performing all aspects of program content, including security, assessment/evaluation, psycho-educational programming, monitoring and reporting, teaching, training and professional standards. Work is in a Minnesota Correctional Facility Stillwater with incarcerated individuals. **Minimum Qualifications** To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all the minimum qualifications listed below. LICENSURE: Current licensure or eligibility for licensure* by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or equivalently qualified to perform alcohol and drug counseling under Minnesota Statute 148F.11. (*NOTE TO LICENSE-ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS: Please include information regarding your license-eligibility in your resume or application. To maintain employment, the successful candidate who is eligible for LADC licensure must possess a temporary ADC permit within 60 calendar days of the first day of employment and current LADC license within the probationary period.) AND EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION One year of experience providing behavioral health services, including individual and group therapy, to clients with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring disorders; OR Master's degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling/Studies, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family, Counseling, or a related Behavioral Health/Science program** ** If your degree is in a related Behavioral Health/Science program not listed above, you may be asked to provide an unofficial college transcript. + Knowledge of substance use treatment methods and practices. + Knowledge of professional, legal, and ethical standards; best practices; and community standards of care. + Skills in verbal and written communication, including proficient documentation skills. + Interpersonal/human relations skills. + Basic personal computer skills. + Ability to provide substance use treatment; formulate and implement an individualized treatment plan; and develop a continuing care plan. + Ability to teach a psycho-educational course; effectively function within a multi-disciplinary team; exercise sound judgment; and demonstrate appropriate professional boundaries.
