SUMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for independently providing diagnostic and developmental assessments and/or written orders for children and adolescents referred to our agency for developmental, behavioral, medical, and psychological challenges. Conducts diagnostic evaluations and prescribe written orders for services for individuals who may have autism.
ABOUT CASTLE PROGRAM
Centerstone Autism Services: Think! Learn! Explore! (CASTLE) is an intensive, evidence-based therapy program for children between the ages of three- and nine-years old who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Serving children and families in Southern Illinois.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducts autism spectrum or psychological assessments, analyze and interpret data, and write evaluation reports.Provide feedback to clients after evaluations.Communicate with team members during the evaluation process as needed.Provide written orders for applied behavior analysis treatment for qualified new clients and for continuance of services, pursuant to state regulatory guidelines.Follow all regulatory guidelines in accordance with program.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.Experience administering various standardized diagnostic measures, as well as psychological and autism spectrum assessment tools to diagnose and/or rule out autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilityExperience prescribing written orders for applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavioral health servicesExperience with Microsoft OfficeAbility to effectively collaborate with families, schools, and ASD service providers in child’s communityEffective organizational, time management, and prioritization skillsQUALIFICATIONS
Education Level
Licensed psychologists, working within their scope of practice, with training, experience, or expertise in diagnosing ASD and/or behavioral health services
Years of Experience
Two years’ experience, in which a significant portion of time has been spent in diagnosing ASD
Certification/Licensure
Current state licensure
