**Description**
The Department of Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care Division is seeking a full-time faculty position as an Assistant Professor.
The University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), a leading academic institution, seeks outstanding candidates to join the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (PCCM) in the Clinician-Educator-Scholar Pathway. The PCCM division comprises 42 full-time faculty members with a wide range of clinical expertise across the pulmonary and critical care spectrum. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional clinical care, contribute to academic research, and participate in the education and mentorship of trainees in an intellectually stimulating environment. The University of Rochester is a national leader in translational, lung biology, immunology, vaccine development, oncology, and environmental science research. The Department of Medicine and the PCCM division are committed to providing strong and active faculty development programs. Clinical practice opportunities include providing high-quality, patient-centered care in pulmonary and critical care medicine in the medical intensive care units, pulmonary consultation services, and outpatient pulmonary clinics and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, and endobronchial ultrasound, as required. Opportunities for basic, clinical, and translational research on lung diseases, including pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, sepsis, asthma, environmental pollutants, and lung cancer screening. We have a competitive T32 funded PCCM fellowship program, and ample opportunities and resources are available to develop careers in medical education.

We seek individuals with an M.D. or equivalent and a passion for academic medicine who are board-eligible or board-certified in Pulmonary Diseases and/or Critical Care Medicine and who have completed a three-year fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine to join our diverse and collegial faculty group.
**Qualifications**
M.D. Degree or equivalent
Must obtain a New York State Medical License prior to start date
Eligible for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry
Must meet all credentialing requirements
Eligible for Board Certification in Pulmonary Diseases and/or Critical Care Medicine
Post offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required
Compliance with University and New York State health requirements
