Position Summary:

Produces radiographs of various portions of the body according to physician’s request.

Position Key Accountabilities:

Develops radiographs using an automatic processor and checks for desired results. Prepares patients films for interpretation by radiologist. Maintains quality assurance on all radiological equipment. Prepares patient for radiographic procedures.  Assists in the accurate timing and positioning techniques. Maintains and files radiology procedure paperwork. Maintains inventory supplies, coordinates student/patient room assignments in clinic.  Must be able to respond to emergency situations. Other duties as assigned. 

 

Certification/Skills:

Current licensure as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) by the Texas Medical Board and 
Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).

Minimum Education:

Graduate from an approved two year program in Radiologic technology.

Minimum Experience:

None.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
